By David Kitchenham Wednesday, 15th February 2023 0 Comments The Best Compact Woodchipper? GreenMech have been manufacturing British woodchippers and shredders for decades now. Their reliable build quality has made them an industry favourite and their CS100 has recently received stellar reviews from a client. The CS100, one of the smaller woodchippers from GreenMech, was recently acquired by the MJB Group – a newcomer to all areas garden maintenance. Max Bishop, owner of MJB had this to say, “Within half an hour of the CS100 demonstration we’d decided to buy it! The build quality of it is extraordinary and, after having a look at other machines, this only confirmed that we weren’t going to get anything more robust or better suited to our needs.” He continues, “It’s been working on all-manner of jobs, from garden clearances through to large ash tree removals where we hooked it up on the back of the quadbike and towed it into position.” The MJB Group already owned a GreenMech Arborist 150p which continues to serve them well, but they needed something more compact. Which is where the CS100 comes into play. This compact machine is just 769mm wide, making it perfect for compact spaces. It can fit through standard residential gate areas making domestic environments easily accessible. This does not mean that the machine lacks in power, despite its size, you still get the cutting power of a commercial machine. The 18hp electric-start petrol engine and twin, reversible chipping blades make light work of timber, wood waste and vegetation while the adjustable discharge chute makes chip disposable convenient and simple. If you’re in the market for an affordable small woodchipper, then the CS100 could be the one. We are always happy to see people finding useful tools and machines to fit their needs.
