New Makita XGT brushless rotary hammer

Makita Expands Its Powerful XGT Collection with New Brushless Rotary Hammer

Ask any tradesperson out there and they’ll tell you no one does it quite like the teal guys but Makita isn’t settling for being a trades favourite. In fact, the brand continues to develop their tools and innovate its systems to continuously launch better power tools and the latest in an already impressive range of cordless tools is the 40VMax XGT Brushless SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer.

Powered by Makita’s XGT battery system, the new Rotary Hammer offers an impressive 3.9 joules of impact energy for drilling holes in masonry up to 30mm diameter quickly and efficiently, making this a genuine solution for high-demand industrial applications.

Fitted with a quick change SDS Plus Chuck to alternate between SDS Plus and conventional keyless chucks, and because health and safety on site have never been more important, the HR009G also comes equipped with Makita’s anti-vibration technology (AVT) to significantly reduce the vibration levels and allow for comfortable operation over extended periods.

Benefitting from various features that make the job safe, quick, and easy, it comes with three operating modes – Rotary only, Hammer only, and Rotation with Hammer, to suit a range of high-performance demands. For additional safety, the tool features AWS, Makita’s Auto-start Wireless System, to connect with a compatible dust extractor via Bluetooth. The HR009G can also be fitted with the new DX11 Dust Extraction attachment (sold separately).

This heavy-duty tool benefits from a trigger lock function, electric brake and anti-restart function and Makita’s Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) will turn the motor off if the bit rotation is suddenly forced to stop.

Kevin Brannigan, Marketing Manager at Makita, says:

“We are very excited to add our new 40VMax Brushless Rotary Hammer to our expanding XGT range. As with all products from the XGT range, this is a smart, high-performance tool that will be an excellent addition to any toolkit, especially for those working on high-drain conditions. Our XGT platform offers the power and performance needed on site, and we are certain that professional users will be as happy with the results as we are.”

The 40VMax Brushless Rotary Hammer follows several recent XGT launches, including the MR009GZ Radio-Lantern, the CS002GD201 Metal Cutter (now including batteries and charger), the CL003GZ04 Stick Vac with a built-in Cyclone, and Makita’s largest capacity battery to date – the 8Ah BL4080F 40VMax XGT battery.
