By Marta Macedo Thursday, 27th October 2022 0 Comments All Roads Lead To The Executive Hire Show 2023 The Executive Hire Show has quickly become a staple national exhibition for the tools, equipment and plant hire industries, and the EHS team is beyond excited to confirm that the UK’s premier hire event will be taking place on the 8th and 9th of February 2023, at its established home – the Coventry Building Society Arena (CBS Arena). Founded in 2007, the Executive Hire Show is a trade-only event open to hire executives from across the UK and Ireland and every year it brings the industry together for a couple of days of exhibitions, product launches, talks and, above all, networking. Despite the current economic uncertainties and reported supply chain issues, the compact plant hire and equipment industry remains resilient and is reporting a surge in business, which is excellent news for the hire market and the many diverse sectors it serves. At this year’s show, exhibitors will be focusing on how the industry has bounced back from the productivity levels registered during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, what measures need to be taken to account for the rising costs of materials and utilities, as well as cleaner forms of energy and how to develop these into a reliable option for construction sites up and down the country. As the journey to achieve net zero by 2050 gains traction, innovation and investment in new technology, particularly renewables and sustainable solutions, are at an all-time high, with many companies allocating significant portions of their budgets to the pursuit of green technology. During the annual exhibitor ‘Kick-Off’ meeting, at the CBS Arena, which took place during the last week of September, the EHS team confirmed that the 16th annual hire event is now 85% sold. The meeting experienced a record turn-out, with both returning and new exhibitors taking time out of their busy schedules to attend the event and networking lunch. Chris Moore, Executive Hire Show Publishing and Event Director, opened the proceedings by highlighting the success of the previous shows and how the 16th annual event is aiming even higher in terms of exhibitors and visitor attendance. Chris adds: “Collaboration was the key to making the 2023 event the best one yet. We continue to receive regular stand enquiries from leading suppliers, so, once again, we expect another sold-out Executive Hire Show.” At the 2023 show, there will be a new format for the Innovation Trail, a segment that has proven very popular with manufacturers and suppliers. In next year’s show, Peter Haddock, CEO of Content with Media, will return to the event once again to interview shortlisted candidates live on their stands, which will be broadcast live across various social media platforms. The Innovation Trail will also have a renewed focus on equipment that employs new power sources and sustainable technologies, or which improves efficiency and environmental impact, and, speaking of the show’s focus on forward-thinking companies, Chris says: “We are inviting entries from companies that are implementing new technologies to deliver efficiencies, cost savings, or a better service, not forgetting emerging technologies that are paving the way to net zero.” All the presentations/interviews will be recorded for social sharing and will be live-streamed to a LinkedIn audience of over 15,000 people. Following the success it proved to be in 2022, Peter also plans to ‘live blog’ again from the show, which will, again, be shared across numerous social media platforms. However, that’s not all – an exciting prelude to the Executive Hire Show are the series of industry Road Shows, with the next being held on Tuesday 25th October from 2pm – 7pm at the Marriott hotel Glasgow, and the following roving event taking place on Tuesday 6th December from 2pm – 7pm at the Aztec Hotel & Spa in Bristol. These popular and free to attend regional events allow people to network in an informal and positive atmosphere and enable hirers to take advantage of ‘Special Deals’ that are only available to Road Show visitors on the day.
